Job: Health & Safety Manager, Allied Bakeries

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly professional Health & Safety specialist to utilise their full skill set, make a real difference and have their achievements recognised.

The business has a growing number of Health & Safety projects as it develops its already strong existing programmes. West Bromwich is the largest manufacturing and distribution facility within the business and you’ll be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for planning and leading the implementation of strategies and initiatives for H&S. You’ll be heard and have your insights acted on as you provide expertise and support to others by acting as the champion and catalyst for culture change towards ‘Safety First’ principles.

Likely to be of graduate calibre with experience of successful development and implementation of significant H&S initiatives, you will have IOSH membership through a NEBOSH certificate or its equivalent as a minimum qualification and are likely to have or be working towards the NEBOSH Diploma. Experience in a comparable manufacturing/distribution environment and working within a recognised H&S management system or OHSAS18001 framework would be advantageous. You must have a proven track record in delivering results with determination and energy, even when under pressure, in addition to having strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
